Kiran Mohan

PRINCIPAL PLANNER & FOUNDER

With over 15 years in the industry, Kiran Mohan is the visionary behind Sonaa’s debut in Charlotte. Originally from Toronto, Kiran launched her career in the events industry there in 2009. After relocating to Charlotte, she founded Sonaa in 2017 to meet the area’s need for specialized South Asian wedding planning. Her strong vendor connections across the Southeast make her an invaluable partner throughout the planning process. Kiran built Sonaa around the idea of comfort—her goal is to provide couples and families with a dependable, caring presence from planning through execution.

Hailing from the Carolinas, Andrea Rambharose has been with the Sonaa team for more than seven years. For Andrea, the joy of planning lies in crafting unique experiences that reflect the individuality of each client. She is committed to weaving your personal touches and special details into your event, ensuring it becomes a cherished memory for you and your loved ones.

Rashmili Vemula

LEAD PLANNER & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Rashmili Vemula combines a strategic mindset, meticulous planning, and deep cultural understanding to craft events that are not only visually stunning but rich in heritage. Since connecting with Kiran on her personal podcast in 2018, Rashmili chose her as her Wedding Planner in 2023 and proudly joined the Sonaa team in 2024. Rashmili has embraced her role as a dedicated Coordinator, while also supporting behind-the-scenes business development and marketing efforts.

Rebecca Rambharose

LEAD PLANNER

With over 7 years of experience in event planning, Rebecca Rambharose channels her passion for South Asian weddings into every detail of the process. As a Sonaa Events Coordinator and a North Carolina native, Rebecca believes in the importance of treating every client like family, valuing adaptability and respect in her approach. Her exceptional execution skills stand out as she brings any vision to life, fulfilling every request with precision and ensuring each event unfolds beautifully.

Nima Patel

Born and raised in the Queen City, Nima Patel has been working with the Sonaa team for nearly six years. As a committed Assistant on every event, Nima brings a passion for learning about diverse cultures, adding depth and warmth to each celebration.
